Surveys: Smoke Test

Sorry for the double updates. Good news is I just got word that I  can send out the smoke test on Backerkit. One, maybe two people from each tier will get their surveys (it's entirely random, I don't pick), just so we can make sure they work properly! Those will be going out a couple minutes after I post this.

Please read through this information, as it answers a few questions you may have:

Free stickers: It's not indicated anywhere on the survey that you get a free sticker, but you do. It's easier for me just to keep track of the extras people purchase. 

Pin Choices: The way the surveys are set up, you can pick any pins you'd like, including doubles of one. The only exception is the 'One of Everything', which gets one of everything. 

Add-ons: You can add as much or as little as you like! Some things are super low quantity here, and if they're all gone by the time you get your survey, you can double check on my website to see if it's there and use the combine shipping code that was in update #7. Unfortunately, I had to divide my stock between the two websites.

Reward Fulfillment + Add-ons

Hi everyone! This is a very important update, so please take a moment to read through the whole thing. 

I've been working really hard on trying to figure out the ever-changing logistics of this project, especially considering we lost some huge pledges. I've worked out the money, looked at my own finances, and I've decided make a few changes. 

Unlocking Pins

Firstly, all the colours for mini pins will be unlocked at the end of this campaign unless we dip super low. You'll be able to pick from any colour you'd like for your freebie, and you're guaranteed to be able to get a full set. 

For our main pins, if we can stay above $3,000 at the end of the campaign, I'm going to unlock everything. To do this, it means some personal loss on my part, but I've decided I'd rather have the pins, since they can hopefully make up for it at a later point. At least $3,200 would be ideal, but I'll take the lost. This is because if I can order a certain amount of pins, the manufacturer is going to give me a really good discount. 

Even if we don't reach $3,000, the moon and sky colour variants will very likely be unlocked at the end, since there's no mold fee involved. 

However, even if we don't actually get it at the end of the camp, it's not a loss yet, because I decided that, for fulfillment of this project, I'm going to use Backerkit.

Backerkit

A lot of you probably know what that is, but I'll explain anyway. Backerkit is basically a website that connects to, and works with, Kickstarter that allows you to easily choose the pins you'd like, as well as being able to add-on other things that you missed, add-on items from my store easily (which will be listed), and it even gives us a second chance to reach the goals for pins that we didn't unlock.

You'll all be sent a survey when the kickstarter is over and I have it set up (I'm working on that now to be able to send them out as soon as possible), and it will give you a link to go to. You'll be able to pick from the pins you want, along with the freebies, and then you'll be able to browse around the little add-on shop. You can also alter and change your rewards until the date I lock the orders. 

This allows you to easily select multiple of the pins you'd like, and to very easily add things on. It also gives people a chance who missed the campaign to grab a pin.

What will be available: 

• Add-ons of all the unlocked pin designs.
• A second chance for any of the unlocked ones 
• Add-ons for extra stickers, including two new designs which will be be available only as add-ons. 
• Seconds Sale pins - I'll be giving you guys first dibs at my $5 seconds pins, and then putting it on my website at a later date.
• Standard Pins - since my store is closed right now, I'll be offering my standard pins too. This does include my phoenix charity pins, to which the funds WILL be going to the communities they were made for. 

Again, please consider sharing this campaign on your socials! The more people we can reach out to, the better!

Mid-Way Update

Hi everyone! I wanted top in and give a little update since we're half way through the campaign already!

As expected, we keep going up and down around the $3,100 mark, which unlocks the pink and purple flowers so it’s constantly unlocked and re-locked again. Of course if we’re only a couple dollars away from a goal, I’ll still get it made. 

Please keep in mind that the flowers and the trees are the last designs with unique molds. Everything else after are colour variants, so there’s a greater chance that I’ll be able to get a discounted price on them and still be able to get them. 

(Fun fact if people are just getting into pin designing: some manus count variants are entirely different pins (so if their minimum is 100, you need 100 of one colour), while others count colour variants towards their minimum (so the 100 could be split between several different colours). The one I’m working with did the second for my birthstone pins, so I’m hopeful for this one. We'll see.)

How you can help: please share my IG or twitter posts on your socials. There’s a new algorithm on IG that’s making it impossible for posts to be shared even to followers. Seriously, I follow hundreds of people and I only see a handful of new posts every day!
